This carving of the Ten Commandments is located at Mount Calvary Cemetery on Highpoint Drive near Coal Center, Pennsylvania. The Commandments are carved into the base of a statue of Moses near the entrance to the cemetery, in a line of 19 statues.

The Ten Commandments are one of the most well-known sections of the entire Bible, as they provide God's expectations for how people will live, including what they should do and not do to show love for God and neighbor. They were given by God to Moses on Mount Sinai, as told in the book of Exodus, chapter 20, verses 2-17. They are listed on the monument thus:

The Ten Commandments
I "I am the lord, thy God; thou shall not have strange gods before me"
II "Thou shall not take the name of the lord thy God in vain"
III "Remember thou keep holy the Sabbath day"
IV "Honor thy father and thy mother"
V "Thou shalt not kill"
VI "Thou shalt not commit adultery"
VII "Thou shalt not steal"
VIII "Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbor"
IX "Thou shalt not covet thy neighbor's wife"
X "Thou shalt not covet thy neighbor's goods"
