This artwork on the Transvaalplein has raised many questions by the locals... what is one of the Shining (Movie) Twins doing in our park?

"Mystery: who is that girl at the swing on Transvaalplein?
"Many Tilburgers find it a bit creepy: the artwork of the girl with swing on Transvaalplein. The girl is a young version of the artist herself, Doreen Southwood from South Africa. The artwork is called Sindroom and that is the South African word for a dream that keeps coming back and determines your day. It symbolizes the ignorance of apartheid in her native country during Doreen's childhood. Doreen looks straight ahead so she doesn't see the swing seat coming from behind!"

About the Shining;
"The Shining is a 1980 psychological horror film produced and directed by Stanley Kubrick and co-written with novelist Diane Johnson. The film is based on Stephen King's 1977 novel of the same name and stars Jack Nicholson, Shelley Duvall, Scatman Crothers, and Danny Lloyd."

About the Shining twins:
"The Shining (1980)
The Twins make a larger and more prominent appearance in the 1980 adaptation (compared to the book). They are seen for the first time when Danny Torrance passes out when he has a vision. They are seen a second time on Closing Day while Danny is in The Games Room while his parents tour the hotel with Ullman and Watson. They stare at Danny before walking out of the room, hand in hand. They are seen again in a brief vision when Danny attempts to enter Room 237. Eventually, Danny encounters them in a hallway on his tricycle. They say hello and ask Danny to come and play with them, to which Danny has visions of their corpses in the same hallway, their blood splattered everywhere on the walls and floor and an axe lying on the ground. Danny covers his eyes and when uncovering them, they are gone. They do not appear again."
