These Then and Now photos are of the Rodearmel / German House, located on the corner of North Fourth and Walnut Streets in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. The building was built around the year 1855 as a single-family home. The first floor was later turned into a business space, first as a drug store. The "Then" photo is from around the year 1895 and is taken from an interpretive sign across the street from the building. The "Now" photo shows the building as it is today, with a coffee shop in the first floor space.
Year photo was taken: c. 1895
