This rest area on I-20 is just shy of the Fabens exit. It is called a "safety" rest area because there is a storm shelter here. Amenities include restrooms and a "doggie relief" station. There are also picnic tables, pavilions, and plenty of room to stretch your legs. A virtually identical rest area is on the other side of the Interstate to serve eastbound traffic.
