The lifeboat developed in the 1990's and the first went into service during 1996
At the time of our visit, the lifeboat crew was just leaving port for training.
Note:-
"Penza" Lifeboathouse
"Penza" is a town on the southeast boundaries of old Russia and was the home of Eugenie Boucher who fled from Russia in the 1920s
She married Roy Boucher a prominent Solicitor and Business mand from Bristol UK
Where they lived in a house called "Penza"
Mrs Boucher died in 1992 and left a generous legacy to the Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI)
In memory of her husband and herself
This Bequest funded eight new buildings known as "Penza" lifeboat houses.
