Correctionville is a small farming community in western Iowa. On the side of a garage can be seen the remains of a sign for United States Tires. The tires were produced by the United States Rubber company which was one of the original stocks in the Dow stock index. The company eventually changed its name to Uniroyal. The sign is approximately 90" by 130". The remains of red paint on the bricks outline the words of the sign. Apparently, the material comprising the words deteriorated faster than the red background.
