Within the designated area known as Talkin Tarn, a water-filled depression in the land was caused during the ice age (a Tarn). Now a Recreational Country Park, within a wooded area there is a "family" of wooden hedgehogs.

There appears to be very little written about these sculptured wooden hedgehogs.
As this is a Country park and a frequent "place to visit" from both locals and tourists. With various activities around the whole site, including walks through the woodlands and around the Tarn. Strategically placed attractions, namely wooden sculptures, may have been placed to keep the visitor more attentive.
