The light grey granite obelisk was erected in 1923 on a small road-bounded park, and bears the names of the 66 Yea locals who died in World War One. It cost £700 to erect, and was unveiled by Lieutenant Colonel Courtney on ANZAC Day, 1923. [ex- Monuments Australia - link below]
