Created by sculptor James Butler RA, the £100,000 bronze statue forms an integral part of the new-look Henley Street, as part of a £1.2million redevelopment.
Placed close to Shakespeare’s Birthplace on Henley Street, and the junction of Meer Street, the statue was gifted to the town by Stratford businessman Tony Bird OBE.
Originally planned in 2016 at the time of the 400th Anniversary of Shakespeare's death in 1616, it didn't find a home until it was installed here in the summer of 2020.
