1867-1939

John Calvin Brown was an important citizen in Wentzville and lived in this house during the early 1900s. He was elected Justice of the Peace in 1903 and Mayor in 1908. Brown served three terms as Mayor, followed by three terms as an Alderman in Ward 1. He was again elected Mayor in 1920 and served three additional terms in office.
