Mustang Park, on the south end of Benbrook Lake, is a public access point to the lake and swimming is allowed. There is also Rock Creek on the east side of the park if you prefer to wade and hunt for crawdads (or noodle for catfish) instead of swim. There are no lifeguards on duty, but there is an honor-system flotation device loan station - just take what you need and return them when your are finished. Swimming is free, but there is a day use fee ($5 per car) for access to the park itself.
