This is a Federal Signal Thunderbolt 1000.
Installed around 1960?
It was originally in another spot nearby, but was moved to it's current location in 1994 when the City built a Public Library.
It's the only working old siren in the City of Northville. It's used as a Weather Warning Siren, and is tested every 1st Saturday @ 1:00PM excluding Winter months.
