The Altoona Farmer's Market is open Thursdays 9AM -2PM May through October. We visited early on the opening day of 2022. There was a nice selection of goods and a few services being offered. "The Altoona Farmer's Market will fill Heritage Plaza with excited shoppers on Thursday May 19 from 9-2. Bring your shopping bags to support these LOCAL vendors:
BRUMBAUGH'S DELITES: homemade baked goods, stuffed pepper soup, ox roast sandwiches, hot dogs and kraut, sloppy judies, potato soup, egg salad sandwiches, rhubarb, asparagus, jams, pickles, eggs, and pumpkin logs. Frozen soup available includes turkey noodle, vegetable, broccoli/cheese and stuffed pepper
BLUE BARN FARM; salad mix, head lettuce, spinach, mesclun, kale, endive, radishes, chives
KEVIN'S PRECISION SHARPENING: master sharpener offering on-the-spot sharpening of knives, scissors, and tools
SIMPLE SOAPS: handmade soaps, lip balms, etc by Cheryl Smearman
SR. LIFE; coordinates and helps Seniors with medical care
