"Mark Di Suvero's large-scale outdoor sculptures are generally comprised of larges peices of weathered wood, steel girders, I-beams and other industrial discards. Di Suvero prefers to compose his works spontaneously on site by positioning each element with a crane himself before they are welded and bolted into place. Mark Di Survero was one of Laumeier's first artists, loaning two of his works in 1977. His XV occupied this site for over twenty five years." ~ plaque describing sculpture.
