The northeast side of Pueblo Pioneer Cemetery is the location of this palindrome. There are about 1,000 burials here, with quite a few pioneers noted with small historical plaques elevated on poles (easy to spot as you walk through the grounds).

Nestled between Big Hill and the former Freed Middle School lies the last resting place of many movers and shakers in Pueblo's history.
The Pueblo Pioneer Cemetery, once known as the Northside Cemetery, is the first formal cemetery established in Pueblo and was dedicated in 1870.
The cemetery had its beginnings when Mahlon D. Thatcher purchased 80 acres from the U.S. government on behalf of the Masonic Lodge No. L7.
