The Congregational Church of Interlaken was designed in the Federal style by architect Ralph Bigelow and built at Larrywaug Crossroads in Stockbridge, MA in 1826. The church was dedicated on January 10, 1827. Because of its distance from the church, the The North Congregational Society was formed and they moved the church to the mill village of Curtisville, now Interlaken, in 1834. It was then known as the Curtisville Congregational Church. The church was active until 2002 when it was sold and is now a private residence. (visit link)

The symmetrical brick building has a protruding pavilion with two entrance topped with fanlight windows that are separated by the former church bulletin board. At the top is a pediment with a fanlight window. The main block of the church has 4 by 4 double hung windows with a rounded top flanking the central pavilion.

Straddling the pediment and pavilion pediment and the gable roof of the church is a square tower which once contained a clock. Rising from the tower is a belfry with louvered windows and a square spire topped by a weather vane. The sides of the church are five bays wide with windows that match the front.
