Our puzzle series "Architecture of Prague" has not yet properly covered one of Prague's most important landmark - Prague Castle. The castle is located on the left bank of the Vltava River in the northwestern part, which rises on a hill above Lesser Town District. This part of the city is called Hradcany (EN: "Castle" = CZ: "Hrad"). The castle is easily accessible by tram from its northern side or we can walk up the hill from the south side of the castle. We will start from Lesser Town Square, walk down the steep Nerudova Street to Schwarzenberg Palace. Here we take a sharp right (the street name appropriately changes its name - it is called "Ke hradu" [EN: "To the Castle" ]). After about 300m we stop - the castle is in sight. When we turn our back to the castle, we are at the first position of today - on the right are the walls of Salm Palace, in front of us the descending street "Ke hradu" and far ahead on the horizon a white building with two towers - this is the building of Strahov Monastery. On the left side a unique view of the winding streets and rooftops of the houses of the Lesser Town.
