The Pennyweight Flat area is below and surrounds the Pennyweight Flat Children's Cemetery and consists of cleared creek flats presently used for grazing . The creek flats have been worked as an alluvial goldfield and consequently a section of the course of Forest Creek has been shifted to the south (in the 1850s).
