The Diocese of Coria Cáceres has confirmed that 9 of the 13 Poor Clare religious nuns of the San Pablo Convent in Cáceres (cloistered nuns) are positive for Covid-19, although asymptomatic , pending confirmation tests .
They are all isolated individually inside the convent , respecting all safety and health measures and have canceled their daily activities, including making sweets.
The Diocese of Coria Cáceres wants to reassure all those who have bought their products, the sweets , which volunteers from the Union of Penitential Brotherhoods of Cáceres are distributing during the state of alarm due to Covid-19 , since after consulting with official health authorities and pertinent food , they confirm that in the elaboration process all the norms of good practice in food hygiene and its packaging have been followed and in addition the workshop has recently undergone a sanitary inspection , for which the bishopric points out in a statement "There is no possible risk of contagion from the consumption of the products."
