'Vägabstraction' (Road abstraction) is a work created by Jacob Dahlgren for the "seven rivers art road" project. For this project were seven objects created and each placed beside a different river in northern Sweden. 'Vägabstraktion' was placed around 23km north west of the small town Bjurholm on a small parking lot where the road number 92 meets the river Lögdeälven.
The work of art consists of three metal poles mounted on a block of concrete to which road construction companies usually attach signposts. Here, too, the artist attached many way signs with reflective foil (for recognizing it during night or winter) in different colors, but there are no location or distance information on the signs.
The artwork was inaugurated on July 9, 2011.
