The light-brown/orange brick sided building has a low-pitched grey-coloured Colorbond roof and hip front and tilt-a-door. The one-panel door is three bays wide, with a short concrete approach onto bitumen which then leads out to York Road. Off to the side of the entrance is enough room for the volunteers cars.
Below the stubby Bell Tower at the right-hand side of the building is the signage showing that this is part of Maroondah Group HDQ, and that it was established in 1939. While on the left side of the building is a bronze plaque for the Official Opening of this Fire Station on 13th December 1975, just some SEVEN years before the disastrous Ash Wednesday fires: (

Behind the building is a tall metal tower for communication antennas and for the hanging and drying of used hoses.
