Dierenpark Amersfoort krijgt er deze week (juli 2003) een nieuwe attractie bij. Donderdag wordt het Zoologisch museum geopend. Het zit in de achterkant van het 100.000 dierenhuis, waar vooral insecten en reptielen leven. In het museum zijn dan overleden dieren, waarbij de natuur een foutje heeft gemaakt, te zien. Het gaat onder meer om een lam met vijf poten en een eekhoorn met meerdere staarten. Pronkstuk is een misvormd dier waarvan het dierenpark zelf niet weet om welke soort het precies gaat. Naast de fouten van Moeder Natuur zijn 1200 opgezette dieren, skeletten en dierlijke delen op sterk water te zien.

Amersfoort Zoo is getting a new attraction this week (July 2003). The Zoological Museum will open on Thursday. It is in the back of the 100,000 animal house, which is mainly home to insects and reptiles. In the museum you can see deceased animals, where nature has made a mistake. These include a five-legged lamb and a multi-tailed squirrel. Showpiece is a deformed animal of which the zoo itself does not know which species it is. In addition to Mother Nature's mistakes, 1200 stuffed animals, skeletons and animal parts can be seen in spirits.
