The Frog mural was painted by Ryan Christenson aka ARCY. His canvas was the parking lot side of Morsel Munk, a local retailer. Morsel Munk specializes in a variety of lifestyle apparel, drinkware and fun products.

The frog appears to be a red-eyed tree frog (Agalychnis callidryas). They are native to rainforests ranging from Mexico, through Central America, to Colombia. Given that Morsel Munk product line seems to center around warm climate places this frog makes the connection.

Christenson, 33, a 2005 graduate of Sheehan, is known for his “paint splashed style of large scale street art,” according to his website. He has created numerous murals and live paintings throughout the United States, England, Portugal, Greece, Ireland and Australia.

His clients include the Smithsonian Institute, Major League Baseball and the National Park Service, and he creates work for Disney’s Fine Art collection.
