Hachi was very happy with his master, UENO Hidesaburo, a professor in the agriculture department at the University of Tokyo.
Hachiko saw him off from the front door and greeted him at the end of the day at the nearby Shibuya Station. Their daily routine finished on May 1925, when Professor UENO didn't return on the usual train.
After his master was blessed to Heaven, Hachiko waited for his master's return routinely, EVERY DAY, until he finally met his master in Heaven on March 8, 1935 at the very same spot he last saw his master alive.
Now, the Hachiko's grave is just next to his maseter's one.

May the happiness and blessings on them.
