This mural seems to be inspired by the Pueblo Indian culture that inhabits New Mexico. On each end of the mural are what appear to be Pueblo Indian housing structures. Next to each structure is a large depiction of a child's face. One boy and one girl. Strangely the boy seems to be wearing a Mayan Jaguar head adornment but to my knowledge this depiction is erroneous.
In the center of the mural is a cartoonish representation of the Zia symbol which is the is the state's emblem. Interspersed are some depictions of cacti, a butterfly and a hummingbird.
