Banjo and Decorated Banjo Head
Donor: Robert Willard Badger

Robert T. Willard of Bellefonte, PA carried this banjo during his World War I service with Company A, 107th Machine Gun Battalion, 28th Infantry Division. Sergeant Willard's fellow soldiers decorated the banjo head to commemorate their service together. Throughout the war, music was an essential form of entertainment, promoting a sense of unity and camaraderie in the trench.
