According to the parish website, Holy Services were first offered for this congregation in 1980 by Father George Preda in the home of a local professor. The parish was established a few years later and moved several times, finally settling in Colleyville in 1989. The church was sanctified by Archbishop Nathaniel and the parish came under the jurisdiction of the ROEA. Construction began on the current church building in October 2003 and was complete the following February. At the time of this posting, the parish is being led by their sixth pastor.
St. Mary’s holds an annual Romanian food festival in early November. They also sell honey by the jar in a stand located near the front driveway.
