De tolgaarderswoning is gebouwd in 1838 om tol te garen voor het gebruik van de verbeterde kleiweg tussen Montfoort en Linschoten. Achter de deur aan de voorzijde bevond zich een loket. Een rijtuig met twee wielen betaalde 2,5 cent. Een rijtuig met vier wielen 5 cent en een paard of muilezel,aangespannen of niet, eveneens 5 cent.voor een koe werd 1 cent tol betaald. Bouwjaar 1838

The toll collector's house was built in 1838 to collect toll for the use of the improved clay road between Montfoort and Linschoten. Behind the door at the front was a counter. A two-wheeled carriage paid 2.5 cents. A four-wheeled carriage paid 5 cents and a horse or mule, harnessed or not, also paid 5 cents. Year of construction 1838
