The Centaph at Kingston is the site of Norfolk Island's memorial to the sacrifices the people of Norfolk Island have made during times of war. It is the community’s principal point of focus in significant war service commemorations.

The World War I plaque honours the Norfolk Islanders who served in World War I.
The 13 Norfolk Islanders who died on active service are marked with a ? against there name.

The front inscription reads
To commemorate the services of the inhabitants of this island who fought in the Great War
1914 - 1919.
