"The monument to the memory of Jan Palach in the form of a 30-meter pylon in front of the New Building of the National Museum is fitted with a bronze sculpture 'Plamen' ('Flame'), designed by Karel Prager and Miloslav Chlupác. The originally intended form was realized by the National Museum after more than 40 years. The bronze sculpture made according to the preserved sketches is the work of the academic sculptor Antonín Kašpar.'
