Net achter de Huissensedijk midden in een landelijke omgeving, maar toch vlak naast het Gerledome en Arnhem-Zuid, ligt het witte kerkje van Elden (Arnhem)
Aan de zijkant van het kerkje is een zonnewijzer bevestigd.
Wanneer deze zonnewijzer is geplaatst of hoe oud hij is is mij niet bekend.
"De Bonifatiuskerk is een protestantse kerk (PKN) in Elden. Elden is sinds 1966 als wijk opgenomen in de Gelderse hoofdstad Arnhem. De huidige neoclassicitische en neogotische kerk is gebouwd in 1866 en ligt niet in de kern van Elden maar ten noorden ervan op een woerd tegen de Huissensedijk op een steenworp afstand van het Gelredome. Op dezelfde plaats stond eerder een oudere kruiskerk, gewijd aan de heilige Bonifatius. De onderste geledingen van de huidige toren zijn 13e-eeuws, de derde geleding is 15e-eeuws. De huidige kerk is een witgepleisterde eenbeukige zaalkerk met een kerkhof eromheen.
In de kerk zijn drie monumentale grafzerken uit 1643, 1623 en 1657. De preekstoel en het doopbekken zijn waarschijnlijk ouder dan de huidige kerkBonifatiuskerk in Elden. De kerk heeft een eenklaviers orgel dat in 1916 is vervaardigd door de firma Maarschalkerweerd & Zoon. Het orgel staat op een balkon.
Voor de kerktoren ligt de grafkelder van de familie Van Voorst tot Voorst, ooit eigenaren van Park Westerveld en Huize Oosterveld. Deze grafkelder en een grafmonument uit 1834 aan de zuidzijde van de kerk zijn gemeentelijk monument."

Just behind the Huissensedijk in the middle of a rural area, but still right next to the Gerledome and Arnhem South, lies the white church of Elden (Arnhem).
A sundial is attached to the side of the church.
I do not know when this sundial was placed or how old it is.
"The Bonifatius Church is a Protestant church (PKN) in Elden. Elden has been included as a district in the Gelderse capital Arnhem since 1966. The current neoclassical and neo-Gothic church was built in 1866 and is not located in the center of Elden but to the north of it on a drae against the Huissensedijk, a stone's throw from the Gelredome. An older cruciform church, dedicated to Saint Boniface, previously stood on the same site. The lower parts of the current tower are from the 13th century, the third section is from the 15th century. The current church is a white-plastered single-aisled aisleless church with a cemetery around it.
In the church are three monumental tombstones from 1643, 1623 and 1657. The pulpit and the baptismal basin are probably older than the current Boniface church in Elden. The church has a one-manual organ that was manufactured in 1916 by the company Maarschalkerweerd & Zoon. The organ is on a balcony.
In front of the church tower is the burial vault of the Van Voorst tot Voorst family, once owners of Park Westerveld and Huize Oosterveld. This crypt and a grave monument from 1834 on the south side of the church are municipal monuments."
