This '1901' date stone is inserted in the wall of Coupar Grange, a farm in the rural flatlands of Strathmore in the eastern part of Perthshire two miles north of the small town of Coupar Angus. The large stone buildings facing the road consist of most of the steadings for the farm and features a clock tower, an unusual feature for farm buildings in the area.
The date is red painted along with the doorways of the building and inserted on the southern end of the building on the east facing side above a narrow minor road that runs from the A923 road just north of Coupar Angus. The farm is approximately two miles up this road.
