This dove, on marble stone, is very old and almost totally worn to unreadable status. The dove is carrying an olive branch in it's beak, and headed in the traditional direction of normal tombstone doves, flying off to the viewers left.
"The dove is the most frequently seen animal symbol in the cemetery. It is portrayed in a number of poses, but most frequently it is seen holding an olive branch, a reference to the dove sent out by Noah to search for land, and explained in Genesis 8: 10-11
