The dovecote:

In August 2016, this dovecote was officially opened in a side wing of Hamburg's main railway station. The pigeons are cared for by the Hamburg Stadttauben e. V. in cooperation with the Hamburg Animal Welfare Association.
The "pigeon hotel" was set up by Deutsche Bahn in the attic of the so-called "mouse tower" of the station building on Glockengießerwall.

In total, the room is equipped for about 150 pigeons with nest boxes and perching aids. It is cleaned daily and the animals are provided with fresh water and food.
