The mill complex was built between 1873 and 1913. The companies who owned the mill went thru various sales and mergers, with it closing in 1993.

The mill complex was built between 1873 and 1913. The mills produced paper as a product. Originally it was the Jessup and Laflin Company, became the Woronoco Paper Company in 1898. In 1911 the Woronoco Paper Company merged with Mittineague Paper Company, becoming the Strathmore Paper Company. This mill has been abandoned, however the Strathmore Paper Company, now owned by Mohawk Paper continues to make sought after artist paper products. This particular mill was shut down in 1993.
