Saint Aloysius Church is located on the corner of West 5th and Jefferson Streets in East Liverpool, Ohio. Construction on the church was begun in 1887, completed in 1889, and dedicated on October 5, 1890. The architect of the church was W.H. Dunn.
The church is constructed of red brick. It has two towers and a rose window above the main doors. The interior has stunning stained glass windows and an ornately decorated ceiling and sanctuary.
The undated postcard has an illustration of the church on it. The most noticeable change from the postcard to the present photograph is the addition of a section of the building on the left side (west side). Otherwise, the building looks very much the same as it did when the drawing was made for postcard.
In 2011, St. Aloysius was merged with Immaculate Conception church in Wellsville to form Holy Trinity Parish.
