The Naval Museum is Sweden's national museum for the history of the Swedish Navy, from 1522 to today.
At the quay outside the building itself are several military ships; the full rig Jarramas, the minesweeper Bremön, the missile ship Västervik.
In the submarine hall you can board HMS Neptun, a submarine from the Cold War. In the Wreck Tunnel you go below the surface and there you can see the warship Prince Carl from 1684, which rests on the seabed.
In the museum building there are both films and pictures from the history of the Swedish navy. Here it is possible to see objects from the Swedish navy, galleon figures, weapons, uniforms and more. In fact, the Marine Museum has 55,000 objects, more than 20,000 drawings, 250 shelves with archival documents, 500,000 photographs and about 20,000 books about the Swedish navy.
