Above the entrance to the Water Conditioning Plant's Art Deco building is a tall rectangular relief depicting a huge figure of the mythical Greek water carrier Aquarius providing water to the thirsty citizens of Lansing, Michigan. Aquarius holds a water jug on her proper right shoulder and at her waist she holds a model of a turbine pump with a stream of water pouring down onto four children clustered at her feet. The children represent the thirsty citizens of Lansing. -

DIFFERENCES NOTED BETWEEN THE INVENTORY LISTING AND YOUR OBSERVATIONS AND RESEARCH: The relief sculpture is in very good shape. I noticed no differences in the description of the inventory. However the building facing where the sculpture is located is becoming damaged at the vertical joint as seen in the far picture submitted.
