[DE] Auf dem Karmelenberg, in unmittelbarer Nähe der Marienkapelle, befindet sich dieses Gipfelkreuz aus dem Jahre 1733.
Das Kreuz besteht aus einem zweistufigen Fundament. Der Sockel mit Madonna und Kreuz ist etwa 5 m hoch.
"Das auch als „Drei-Nagel-Kruzifix“ bezeichnete Kreuz zeigt den aus rötlichem Sandstein hergestellten Gekreuzigten. Als Folge jahrhundertelanger Witterungseinflüsse und auch gewaltsam herbeigeführter Beschädigungen musste die Jesusfigur bei der 1996 ausgeführten Restaurierung aufwendig wieder hergestellt werden.
Johann Joseph Pfeiffhoven, ein Koblenz-Metternicher Künstler im 18. Jhd., wird mit der Schaffung der aus Sandstein gefertigten Marienskulptur in Verbindung gebracht. Auf dem Basaltsockel ist das Entstehungsjahr des gesamten Hochkreuzes (1733) eingemeißelt. Über dem Kopf der Madonna erkennt man das nach 1733 angebrachte Walpot-Wappen."
