The National Register's Registration Form (see below) notes the house's 1897 construction and references it as one of several Queen Anne homes within the district. It was built for a Mrs. Woodward, who may have been Mary Ann Woodward, whose husband was a prominent area businessman who died in 1893. It's a classic Queen Anne, with cross gables and an asymmetrical floor plan, fish scale shingles, overhanging eaves (note the dentils) a large wraparound porch with a decorative balustrade, and jigsaw brackets around several of the windows.
