The National Register's Registration Form (see below) notes the house's 1940 construction and references it as an example of the Colonial Revival architecture found within the district. It's a two story residence with a bricked symmetrical exterior, rectangular shaped with a shingled side wing. It was originally the home of Tom and Philo Sample, who ran a grocery store here in Denton.
