Sur chacune de ses faces, le piédestal est rehaussé d’un bas-relief en bronze, en forme de médaillon, portant les effigies de trois des patriotes, soit celles de Chevalier de Lorimier, de Louis-Joseph Papineau et de Wolfred Nelson.
