The many amenities of
Mark Durbin Community Park at Lakeside in Kissimmee, Florida, include a pair of side-by-side basketball courts.
These courts, at the northwest corner of the park, are oriented north-south and are enclosed by a chain link fence along just the west side court which is closest to the road. The public park's design uses curved, cast concrete posts painted gray to hold aloft fan-shaped backboards. The backboards are white and at least two could use fresh paint jobs. Each orange, heavy-duty, double rim hoop has a nylon net. The playing surface is in good condition, is painted in two shades of green with white boundary lines, and has wide alleyways around and in between them. Four tall street lamps are installed at the corners for evening play. (Open 7:00 AM to 10:00PM) One 15-foot long run of five-row aluminum bleachers is centered along the east side of the area.
