"Miriam Denise Eaton, 64,of Boonville, passed away at Boone Hospital Center following a short illness.
"Visitation for Miriam will be held at Firm Foundation Foursquare Church,1000 Sixth Street in Boonville, on Tuesday evening, Nov. 25, 2014 from 6:00 until 8:00 o'clock. Funeral services will be at the church at 10:00 A.M. on Wednesday, Nov. 26 with Rev. Steve Sewell and Pastor David Purvis officiating. Burial will follow at Walnut Grove Cemetery.
"Miriam Denise Eaton was born Oct. 5, 1950, in Aberdeen, Maryland, the daughter of Harold Owens and Eleanor Lewis Owens. She married Mel Eaton June 21, 1969 and they are the parents of two children. Miriam and Mel moved to Boonville in 1977 in order to co-pastor the Foursquare Church, later to become the Firm Foundation Foursquare Church, at its present location. Miriam had worked at Ellis Fischel and the University Hospital for nineteen years as a patient service representative. Her laid back personality allowed for a compatible and positive partnership with her husband to co-minister their church, which has been a positive influence on the lives of many families and individuals in the area over the past thirty eight years. Her family, including 'Buddy' her Maltese Dog, as well as the church family, were of utmost importance to her.
"Miriam is survived by her husband, Mel, of the home, their son, Michael and his wife, Cindi Eaton of Gardner, KS and daughter, Melody Anne and her husband,Chris Dowling of Boonville. Her sister, Ida Wimpy and her husband, David, of Jonesboro, AR also survive. Her death will leave a void in the minds and hearts of her grandchildren; James and Allie Dowling, Tyler Hundley, Holly, Sarah Grace and Abigale Grace Eaton." ~ Boonville Daily News
