Centre County's high point is on an unnamed mountain near the borders with Blair and Clearfield Counties. It ranks 9th in the list of the 67 Pennsylvania counties. The high point can be accessed by gravel road off of PA 453 out of Tyrone, PA. the last 0.25 mile is along a gated road. There is nothing of note to see, just the flatness of the plateau. At one time there was a radio tower and building located here, they both have been removed, which are reflected on the topographical maps.
