The fountain "The big fish" was donated by the industries in connection with Karlskrona's 300th anniversary. The sculpture in the fountain is made by the artist Carl Milles.

Karlskrona is a town in Blekinge and is an old maritime town. It is known as Sweden's only baroque city and is host to Sweden's largest naval base. Karlskronat is located partly on the mainland and partly on several islands in the archipelago. The city center is located on the island of Trossö, whose city plan and older buildings were inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List as part of the War City Karlskrona in 1998.
