Slows was included in the 2009 episode of Man v. Food centered around Detroit, Michigan (Season 2 Episode 14). His food choice was the “Triple Threat Pork”, a 1-pound sandwich combination of applewood-smoked bacon, pulled pork, and grilled ham on a poppyseed bun. He selected the orange pop BBQ sauce to go with it.
Adam returned to Slows in a 2012 episode of Adam Rich man’s Best Sandwich in America covering the Great Lakes region. The “Yardbird” from Slows would win the episode and finish #3 in the nation for Best Sandwich. The “Yardbird” is a smoked Amish chicken, sautéed mushrooms, cheddar, and applewood bacon in Slows’ whole grain honey mustard sauce.
