L'Institut national de l'information géographique et forestière (IGN) est un établissement public français à caractère administratif ayant pour mission d'assurer la production, l'entretien et la diffusion de l'information géographique de référence en France.
Pour remplir cette mission, de très nombreux repères de nivellement et sites constitués de plusieurs points.
On peut trouver un peu partout ce type de repère mais l'IGN ayant le souhait de la pérennité des mesures les a placé sur des endroits qui connaissent peu d'évolutions : mairies, église, pont, bâtiments publics, ...
Ici, le site IGN est constitué de 10 points répartis sur le sommet du village de Saint Julien :
a : près des moulins et de la chapelle
b : près des moulins et de la chapelle
c : près des moulins et de la chapelle
d : entre la zone des moulins et chapelle et l'entrée du village
e : à l'opposé des premiers points
f : paratonnerre de l'église
g : paratonnerre de l'église (encore)
h : clocher de l'église
i : belvédère du village
j : belvédère du village
Bien que situé dans le village, ce repère n'est pas de terrain à difficulté 1. Il faut en effet accéder à belvédère, sur le château d'eau pour le voir et pour cela prendre ce qui ressemble autant à un escalier qu'à une échelle, sur deux niveaux.

The National Institute for Geographic and Forest Information (IGN) is a French public administrative institution whose mission is to ensure the production, maintenance and dissemination of reference geographic information in France.
To fulfill this mission, very many benchmarks and sites consisting of several points.
You can find this type of marker almost everywhere, but the IGN, wishing for the sustainability of the measurements, has placed them in places that have seen little change: town halls, churches, bridges, public buildings, etc.
Here, the IGN site is made up of 10 points spread over the top of the village of Saint Julien:
a: near the mills and the chapel
b: near the mills and the chapel
c: near the mills and the chapel
d: between the mills and chapel area and the entrance to the village
e: opposite the first dots
f: church lightning rod
g: lightning rod of the church (again)
h: church tower
i: belvedere of the village
j: belvedere of the village
Although located in the village, this marker is not on difficulty level 1 terrain. You must indeed access the belvedere, on the water tower to see it and to do this take what looks as much like a staircase only on one scale, on two levels.
