Walter Plantz Square is a tree lined street which is paved with stone blocks. There are restaurants and picnic tables on the east and west sides of the square.
The fountain is in the middle of the square. A 50' long by 5' wide rectangle is covered with marble paving blocks. Along the the east and west edged of the marble rectangle a series of below ground level nozzles about 4' apart eject a jet of water about 4' high. Drains are located by each nozzle to catch the water creating a relatively dry path down the middle.
