Ray Roberts Lake State Park offers plenty of places where one can camp, hike, bike, go horseback riding, rollerblade, geocache, waymark, or go backpacking. On the water, swimming, boating, and fishing are options, or one can simply take in the scenery and relax.
The nearby mountain biking trails were created and are maintained through the efforts of the park and the Dallas Off-Road Bicycle Association (DORBA). There are six loop trails to be found in the park, covering about nine miles of countryside. The smaller ones are a little easier, while the bigger ones can be formidable: Check with the park or the trail's Facebook page after precipitation which may shut down one or all of the loops.
Placed by Texas Parks & Wildlife, this sign is a map of the park, with a Legend provided for identification of useful services and features, and some insets with helpful tips for cyclists.
